When someone tells you that you cannot live your dream, look that person back in the eyes and say, “Yes, I Can!” As a child, one of my most favorite stories was “The Little Engine That Could.” While the engine was climbing the hill, he said, “I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.” When he got to the top of the hill, he repeated, “I know I can, I know I can, I know I can.” And as he sailed down the hill, the Little Engine said, “I knew I could, I knew I could, I knew I could.” A lot of life’s challenges and struggles are like the story of the Little Engine. In the midst of the fight, we must keep a “I Can” attitude. Whatever, the struggle, you can keep a fighting spirit about yourself. Sometimes, that fighting spirit or plain old grit is what will pull you through when nothing else will. Now, if you are one of those folks who want to build a home business, you will need that fighting spirit to pull your dreams through to the other side of what we call “reality.” You can live your dreams. However, you need goals and a plan to get you there. Plus, while you are building your business, you should assess your progress. Does this sound complicated? It does not have to be hard. Keeping it simple is what a home business is all about. With my company Avon, it is easy to keep it simple. Avon has a wonderful online training program that teaches a person how to set up and manage a home business. It offers up recommendations and suggestions for gaining and adding customers. The training program also teaches a person how to build an Avon Team if she decides to do so. Yet, it does not stop there. Avon has regular conference and video calls for ongoing sales and leadership training. The Avon Representatives actively support one another through calls, local meetings, and social media groups. It is an amazing process. The training helps you to formula a simple business plan that anyone can follow, and it has a built-in assessment so that you can step back to see how things are going. Sound too good to be true? Well, it is true. If I can help give legs to your dreams, please let me know. To get started as an Avon Representative, please go to www.jointhebiz.org.
